Senior DevOps Engineer (she/he/they)

Green Hive Technology is a software house within the Żabka Group that develops digital solutions to support one of the largest convenience ecosystems in Poland. Their projects include development of the Żappka application, data science initiatives supporting franchisees, generative artificial intelligence (genAI) solutions, and other innovative digital products.

• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in DevOps/SRE.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and production environment maintenance and development.
• Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, including modularization, code review, and infrastructure code quality.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps approaches, especially using Flux and Kustomize.
• Experience with progressive deployments or willingness to quickly assume responsibility in this area.
• Skilled in designing and developing scalable and reusable CI/CD processes.
• Ability to build mature observability solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, or related tools.
• Understanding of secret management, access control, and CI/CD process security.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams and clusters ensuring standard consistency and scalability.
• Practical experience with SRE practices including SLI/SLO, error budgets, and postmortems, actively developing these in the organization.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with FluxCD and Kustomize.
• Experience in DevSecOps.
• Experience with Grafana Stack.
• Experience with tools and platforms used in data engineering.

• Independently design, develop, and maintain infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Co-develop and enhance GitOps standards for managing Kubernetes clusters (using Flux, Kustomize).
• Design and implement progressive deployment strategies (canary releases) and enhance CI/CD tools.
• Develop and optimize GitLab CI pipelines involving Terraform, Kubernetes/GitOps, container image building, and scanning.
• Shape platform layers in service mesh and API Gateway supporting service communication.
• Define and implement best practices for access and secret management using HashiCorp Vault.
• Develop observability solutions based on Prometheus and Grafana, including monitoring, alerting, and system reliability analysis.
• Develop SRE practices such as SLI/SLO, error budgets, and postmortems, recommending improvements to increase environment stability.
• Identify and implement solutions enhancing application and infrastructure scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Set standards and promote best practices in DevSecOps, pipeline security, and container image security.
• Create and develop internal CLI tools in Go supporting teams using Kubernetes and GitOps.
