Lead QA Manager Senior

• Several years (5+) of experience in Test Management, QA Management or Software Test Leadership
• Proven experience owning end-to-end software testing activities
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test strategies and QA best practices
• Proven experience defining testing approaches across functional, integration, system, regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-to-end testing
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project environments
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing, requirements-based testing and test prioritisation
• Ability to define and tailor testing methodology and QA governance model based on project complexity, risk and business requirements
• Experience in test strategy, test planning, execution and governance
• Experience coordinating multiple testing streams, teams or Test Coordinators
• Strong knowledge of defect management and requirements traceability
• Experience defining and monitoring quality gates, test entry and exit criteria
• Experience working within complex enterprise software and IT system landscapes
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Experience reporting to senior project and business stakeholders
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies and testing bottlenecks and proactively drive resolution
• Structured, independent and quality-focused working style
• English language proficiency at B2+/C1 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with major enterprise platforms such as SAP, ServiceNow or comparable systems
• Experience in large-scale IT transformation, migration or carve-out programmes
• Experience in regulated or quality-critical IT environments
• Experience with Test Management / ALM tools such as Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, HP ALM or similar
• ISTQB Advanced, Test Manager or another relevant testing certification
• Previous experience leading distributed or international testing teams

• Define and own the overall software test strategy, methodology, approach and test planning
• Plan and coordinate end-to-end test execution across multiple systems and project workstreams
• Define appropriate test levels, test types and testing approaches based on project scope, risks and business requirements
• Manage test resources, sessions, systems and test environments
• Define and oversee preparation of test specifications and test cases
• Own and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Define and monitor test entry and exit criteria, quality gates and readiness criteria
• Lead Test Coordinators and support testing teams throughout test execution
• Manage the complete defect lifecycle including identification, prioritisation, resolution and verification
• Ensure effective defect triage and escalation processes
• Monitor test progress, risks, dependencies, blockers and quality indicators
• Provide regular test status reporting to project management and senior stakeholders
• Prepare and review Test Summary Reports, RTM and Validation Reports
• Ensure complete, consistent and audit-ready test documentation
• Drive QA governance and continuous improvement of testing processes
• Support PMO activities including status tracking, actions, risks, issues and dependencies
• Coordinate testing across multiple software platforms, systems, vendors and project workstreams
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and escalate test-related risks
• Cooperate closely with project managers, business stakeholders, IT teams and external partners
