Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform

Elastic is a company specializing in the Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500 companies. The platform combines search and AI to help organizations leverage all structured and unstructured data for various use cases including search, security, and observability, offering cloud-based solutions.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering focusing on backend systems, services, or libraries.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and protocols such as MCP.
• Significant recent experience with Go and ideally other programming languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to codebases in unfamiliar languages.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in software engineering.
• Strong product thinking and usability focus.
• Comfortable with frequent context switching and fast-changing environments.
• Genuine interest in technology and multiple programming languages.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including interactions with customers and external partners.
• Willingness to work as part of a remote, globally distributed team.
• Self-motivated and capable of independent work.

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Develop the platform for universal agent skills, including portable formats, authoring, publishing tooling, and linting.
• Ensure skills and tools are validated with evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations for Elastic within third-party AI ecosystems.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer and agent efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations in languages including Go and Rust.
• Apply product thinking to define what should be built and why, informed by the ecosystem.
