Head of Encryption Governance

Nordea is a Nordic bank with a 200-year history supporting and growing the Nordic economies. The role is within Group Technology, focused on engineering solutions and overseeing encryption governance within the CyberSecurity domain. The team manages cryptographic advisory, governance, and encryption standards globally, addressing quantum threats and secure key management.

• Experienced IT Team Leader with proven leadership skills
• Knowledgeable in security principles and cryptographic techniques
• Expertise in encryption design and governance focused on securing key business operations
• Good understanding of risk management
• Ability to create and execute development plans in cryptography
• Excellent understanding of Encryption Governance principles and appropriate security measures
• Understanding of Data & Information Security regulations, industry best practices, and strategies
• Experience working in a regulated environment and cooperating with DPO, Legal, Risk & Compliance, and business units
• Excellent communication skills to simplify complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and use resources effectively

• Proactively manage the Encryption Governance team based in Poland
• Deliver strong professional results and drive operational excellence
• Participate as a member of the Management team understanding business drivers
• Make and implement development and operational plans with concrete targets for the team and individuals
• Ensure team members understand how their targets align with daily duties
• Manage risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements
• Lead the team to meet IT Security Strategy goals in the short and mid term
• Drive high performance with proactivity in tools, processes, and culture
• Build technical and business competencies for the team and self
