Senior Java Developer/ Java Team Lead

IIG is a team of experts working on projects with institutions such as Autopay, the Ministry of Finance, the Polish Volleyball Federation, and the Central IT Center.

• Minimum 5 years experience designing and building web systems
• Very good practical production experience with Java
• Willingness to actively code ~75% of the time
• Experience building microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Knowledge of architectural and integration patterns
• Knowledge of API design and system integration
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approach
• Practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query optimization
• Practical knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
• Practical knowledge of end-to-end observability
• Knowledge of application security principles
• Experience in code review, mentoring, and leading technical teams
• Experience in cross-team collaboration
• Experience co-making technological decisions and risk assessment
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• English language proficiency minimum B2

Nice to have:

• Basic or practical knowledge of cloud, preferably Azure
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps
• Knowledge of Agentic AI / AI in SDLC, e.g., use of AI in development, automation, or architectural decision support

• Design and implement microservice architecture solutions using Java
• Create and develop APIs, integrations, and communication solutions with the EIS platform and company systems
• Co-create system architectures and make technical decisions
• Design solutions using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Ensure quality, performance, security, and scalability of delivered solutions
• Participate in analysis, design, and estimation of business and technical requirements
• Support Product Owners, analysts, and architects in feasibility assessments and technical risk identification
• Participate in Discovery and Inception workshops, including decomposing Epics into Features and backlog preparation
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members
• Assist the team in solving technical problems and maintaining high software development standards
• Collaborate with project, architecture, integration teams, and external suppliers
• Participate in defining and implementing CI/CD processes, observability, and DevOps practices
• Support preparation and maintenance of development, integration, and testing environments including solutions based on Docker and Kubernetes
• Promote the use of modern AI tools and Agentic AI in software development and automation
