Data Architect with German

Link Group is hiring a senior Data Architect to design, modernize, and scale enterprise data platforms in the cloud. The role involves leading architecture for AWS-based data lakes, streaming solutions, and data pipelines for major clients in the DACH region. The position requires collaboration with business and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Architect or Data Platform Architect.
• Deep expertise in AWS Data Analytics services, especially AWS Data Lake and EMR.
• Strong background with Hadoop, Spark, and workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics (Specialty) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Fluent German at C1/C2 or native level; fluent English for team collaboration.
• Proven track record with at least 4 major architectural project references over the past 8 years.
• Practical experience leading delivery in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, and Terraform.
• Experience in regulated industries or financial/enterprise sectors in the DACH region.

• Design and implement cloud data platform architectures using the AWS Data Analytics stack (Data Lake, EMR, S3, Glue, Redshift).
• Architect high-throughput data processing pipelines with Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Airflow.
• Establish automated CI/CD deployment pipelines and manage infrastructure for data delivery.
• Define and enforce data classification, privacy, security, and lifecycle management standards.
• Lead end-to-end data migration from legacy/on-premises systems to AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams using Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams.
