Associate Software Engineer - Java

Syncron is a leading SaaS company specializing in aftermarket solutions for Service Lifecycle Management such as Supply Chain optimization, Pricing strategy, and Service Fulfillment. The company has a global presence with offices in multiple countries including Poland and is part of a global product organization delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions.

• 1 - 3 years of experience in software development
• Fluent English
• Good understanding of Java and Spring Boot fundamentals with hands-on backend development experience
• Basic understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code following established coding practices
• Self-driven in a remote and geographically distributed team
• Keen interest in understanding complex domains
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have:

• Exposure to or experience with JVM-based languages other than Java
• Basic understanding or interest in functional programming concepts
• Exposure to AWS services (ECS, S3, Lambda, Batch, RDS)
• Experience with or understanding of Hazelcast

• Improving existing codebase, including tests
• Implementing new features in Java and Kotlin
• Taking part in significant restructuring and architectural changes
• Conducting code reviews
• Performance engineering, including benchmarks and tools
• Communicating and documenting technical designs and architectural decisions
• Implementing and maintaining support for new and evolving technologies
