Principal Product Manager

SimCorp is a leading provider of integrated investment management solutions with over 4,000 employees. It is an independent subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group and recently merged with Axioma to offer a comprehensive front-to-back offering for clients. The company operates in the FinTech industry, focusing on asset and investment management.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager.
• Experience building B2B or enterprise software, ideally for asset managers or front-office users.
• Strong understanding of Portfolio Management, Portfolio Construction, and PM decision-making workflows.
• Comfort working with analytics, data, and financial concepts.
• Proven ability to lead agile teams and deliver outcomes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Pragmatic, outcome-oriented mindset.
• Ability to understand high-level and detailed portfolio manager workflows.
• Collaborative attitude towards engineers, designers, and product peers.
• Comfortable questioning assumptions and navigating complexity.
• Care deeply about usability, not just functional completeness.

• Own the product vision and backlog for Portfolio Management capabilities.
• Translate portfolio manager needs into actionable product increments delivered sprint by sprint.
• Lead and prioritize backlog for 1–2 full-stack scrum teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to design workflows, interactions, and data models relevant to front-office use.
• Build understanding of portfolio manager workflows including monitoring, risk analysis, scenario evaluation, and order execution.
• Write product briefs, user stories, and acceptance criteria focused on product manager intent and outcomes.
• Use feedback, usage data, and client input to validate priorities and iterate.
• Collaborate with other product teams to ensure coherent front-office workflows.
• Support demos and client discussions based on real portfolio manager use cases.
• Act as a voice of the portfolio manager in product and design decisions.
