IT Security Engineer

Scalo provides software projects and supports partners in business development with software that enables change, faster pace, and better results. They deliver IT services including technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 4 years of professional IT experience or minimum 3 years in IT security.
• Practical experience in cybersecurity technologies and solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of application and ICT system security.
• Practical knowledge of network technologies.
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of threat and vulnerability analysis methods for IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with technologies securing communication and access to internet resources.
• Understanding of security standards and frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
• English language skills sufficient for communication and working with technical documentation.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams in IT projects.
• Analytical thinking and security risk assessment skills.
• Effective collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Good organization and independence in service delivery.

Nice to have:

• IT security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
• Knowledge of financial sector regulations, especially KNF recommendations.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform cloud solutions.
• Experience working with Security Operations Center.
• Experience defining security architecture for corporate environments.

• Provide IT security services in a banking sector project focusing on cybersecurity and security monitoring.
• Maintain and develop systems supporting cyber threat monitoring and attack protection.
• Collaborate with IT teams on security-related system and process changes.
• Support technology projects through requirements analysis and cybersecurity consulting.
• Conduct security analyses and assess system resilience against current cyber threats.
• Support IT security incident management in cooperation with monitoring teams.
• Co-create and develop standards, architecture, and best practices for IT security.
• Collaborate with technical experts and project stakeholders on application and infrastructure security.
• Hybrid work mode with office presence 1 day per week in Warsaw/Łódź or remote with periodic meetings.

The work mode is hybrid for candidates from Warsaw and Łódź requiring presence in office 1 day per week or remote work for others with participation in meetings 1-2 times per month in Warsaw or Łódź.
