Backend Engineer (Java & LLM Integrations)

BioPharma organization client delivering powerful cloud software and services to meet the evolving needs of the BioPharma sector.

• At least 5 years of Java practice
• Strong experience with Java 17+ and the Spring Boot framework
• Deep understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLM integrations, and AI Agents
• Solid background in REST API design, integration patterns, and caching strategies
• Hands-on experience with application security, including JWT and OAuth protocols
• Knowledge of integrating external platform APIs (such as IDBS) is a strong plus

• Building a Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool framework to enable seamless AI capabilities
• Developing prompt-based conversational skills and AI agent workflows
• Implementing a generic proxy API framework to invoke IDBS API endpoints
• Designing and building a secure authentication proxy layer
• Implementing robust token validation, caching, and authorization mechanisms

Due to the client's location, sometimes the team works until 6:00 PM CEST. Meetings scheduled after 5 PM CEST are usually planned in advance.
