Network Engineer (CDN/Akamai)

• Hands-on experience administering Akamai CDN including Property Manager, caching strategies, request routing, and performance optimization.
• Experience operating Akamai WAF including policy design, tuning, false-positive management, and responding to attack traffic.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, caching behaviour, headers, and request lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Azure networking including Application Gateway, Load Balancers, NSGs, DNS, and traffic routing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across edge, network, and application layers.
• Effective communication skills with ability to produce documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience with bot management and DDoS mitigation.
• Familiarity with multi-CDN environments such as CloudFront, Cloudflare, or Tencent CDN.
• Knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and API-driven configuration management.
• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments with strong operational and security controls.

• Own CDN delivery including caching strategy, request routing, origin management, failover, and performance optimization.
• Manage and improve Akamai WAF policies including rule design, tuning, and false-positive analysis while supporting live security incidents.
• Configure and operate DNS and Global Traffic Management for resilient routing and load balancing.
• Manage TLS certificates and maintain secure delivery standards across the edge platform.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking components including Application Gateway, Load Balancers, NSGs, DNS, and traffic routing.
• Investigate complex production issues by tracing requests through CDN and network layers using logs and diagnostic tools.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point during incidents, driving root cause analysis and improvements.
• Review technical designs, contribute engineering best practices, and share knowledge across the engineering team.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge articles.
