Trainee BI/Data Analyst (with German)

Innowise is a professional services company with a track record of implementing 1300+ cases for clients from the USA, Denmark, Germany, and other countries. The team works on projects in top industries including FinTech, MedTech, eCommerce, among others.

• English proficiency B2 or higher for working with documentation and client communication.
• Confidence in writing complex SQL queries including window functions, set operations, views, and constraints.
• Practical experience with Python libraries such as Pandas or NumPy.
• Understanding of databases: relational and NoSQL types, ACID principles, normalization/denormalization, row-oriented vs. columnar storage.
• Knowledge of Big Data and Data Warehouse concepts: OLAP, OLTP, ETL, ELT, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse.
• Understanding of Data Modeling approaches: Inmon and Kimball, Star/Snowflake schemas, Fact and Dimension tables, SCD, Data Marts.

Nice to have:

• Background in analytics fields such as Economics, Finance, Business, or Product Analytics.
• Experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or Python visualization libraries: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly.
• Familiarity with Big Data ecosystem tools: Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt.
• Basic understanding of Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• German language proficiency level B1 or higher.

• Develop complete End-to-End BI projects from raw data processing to finished dashboards.
• Work on real-world business cases strictly during the traineeship.
• Learn to gather requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in onboarding and mentorship with a dedicated mentor who provides knowledge checks and feedback.
