Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Link Group is developing a cloud-native platform called Clinical Data Layer to harmonize complex clinical trial dataset streams into the standardized CDISC SDTM structure, supporting global regulatory submissions and clinical research outcomes.

• 5+ years of software development experience (8+ years for Lead level).
• Deep proficiency in Python, including clean code architecture, monorepo patterns, and test-driven development with pytest and pytest-bdd.
• Proven experience with serverless AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM, focusing on latency optimization, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.

Strong Advantages:

• Experience with AWS AppSync schema/resolver development and integration with React/TypeScript clients.
• Expertise in Terraform multi-environment configurations.
• Experience with Databricks or similar distributed data frameworks.
• Familiarity with clinical data models (CDISC SDTM, ADaM) and regulated software compliance (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Understanding of event-driven software patterns such as fan-out/fan-in, idempotency, and retry strategies.

Data Pipeline Engineering:

• Architect and enhance the core SDTM transformation engine using AWS Step Functions for orchestration, AWS Lambda for compute, and Databricks for data processing.

API & Interface Development:

• Develop responsive interfaces using React and TypeScript backed by GraphQL via AWS AppSync.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Maintain, deploy, and scale Terraform stacks and shared cloud resources.

Engineering Excellence:

• Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, on-call rotations, and mentor junior team members.
