Senior Software Engineer

CloudFerro creates technologies used daily by European leaders in science and the space sector, including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, and EGI.

• Minimum 6 years experience in software development with system architecture design.
• Very good knowledge of Python and experience in building production backend services.
• Experience designing distributed and microservices systems.
• Practical knowledge of standards and protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, JWT.
• Experience in designing and integrating REST API.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conscious architectural decision-making with ability to argue related trade-offs.
• Independence and responsibility from concept and design to production system.
• English language proficiency to work with technical documentation and international environment.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Java and Golang.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with RBAC, ABAC, policy engines, and fine-grained authorization models.
• Knowledge of MFA, SSO, service accounts, token and secrets management.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, and Prometheus/Grafana.
• Designing IAM solutions for multi-cloud environments or large SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms.
• Practical knowledge of application and cloud security.
• Familiarity with OpenStack, including Keystone.

• Designing and developing IAM service architecture.
• Developing backend components responsible for authentication, authorization, and identity and access management.
• Designing APIs and integrations between IAM services and other cloud platform elements.
• Designing solutions for multi-tenant environments and large-scale systems.
• Collaborating with Product Managers to develop solutions fulfilling business requirements.
• Creating prototypes and proofs of concept for new solutions.
• Enhancing existing code and implementing new components.
• Making architectural decisions considering security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ensuring code quality through code reviews, automated testing, refactoring, and engineering best practices.
• Diagnosing complex problems involving applications, IAM, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborating with other technical teams.
• Creating and developing documentation and architectural standards.
