People Manager - Tech Delivery Poland

This role is with a pharmaceutical / R&D technology organisation located in Warsaw, Poland. The position supports global R&D initiatives and local IT hub development.

• 3+ years leadership experience in technology/people management.
• Background in software development and understanding of modern engineering environments.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing technology professionals.
• Experience working in large, complex international organisations.
• Strong collaboration with distributed and cross-country teams.
• Experience supporting Lean-Agile transformation through leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to link strategic priorities with workforce planning and delivery.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Based in Warsaw and open to flexible office presence.

• Experience building or scaling technology hubs or engineering organisations.
• Experience managing employees and external consultants.
• Understanding of the Polish IT talent market and local employment environments.
• Experience with supplier management, commercial negotiations, and capacity planning.

• Lead, coach and develop technology professionals in Poland.
• Own workforce planning and management of employees and consultants throughout their lifecycle.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align capabilities with organisational priorities.

• Strengthen engineering and operational excellence through modern software practices.
• Support and advocate for Lean-Agile ways of working.
• Build the Warsaw IT Hub community through knowledge sharing and local initiatives.
• Manage local suppliers and commercial relationships including negotiations.
• Support capacity, cost, and chargeback planning.
• Provide guidance on Polish working conditions and compliant consultant engagement.
• Act as a local escalation point for people, delivery, and organisational matters.
• Contribute to wider R&D Tech Delivery leadership and translate strategies into goals for Poland.

Candidate must be based in Warsaw and open to working from the Warsaw office on a flexible hybrid basis. Professional working proficiency in English is required.
