WAF & Security Automation Specialist

Capco operates within a dynamic banking environment, focusing on technical delivery and coordination related to Web Application Firewall (WAF) onboarding and infrastructure activities.

• Experience in a large banking or financial services technology environment.
• Solid understanding of banking IT and infrastructure organizations.
• Experience working with diverse technical stakeholders: application owners, developers/tech leads, solution and infrastructure architects, infrastructure and platform teams, project and delivery managers.
• Experience in technical project coordination or project management.
• Ability to coordinate deployments and manage multiple smaller projects or workstreams.
• Experience with Agile / Scrum environments is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-sufficient and proactive, able to take ownership and drive activities independently.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and application onboarding, tuning, and blocking mode processes.
• Experience with F5 Advanced WAF, AVI WAF, or NGINX+.
• Experience with Jira and Change Management processes.
• General understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, databases, load balancers, certificates, and firewall rules.

• Coordinate WAF onboarding for applications from initial request through implementation and production/blocking mode.
• Collaborate with application owners, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and WAF engineers to advance implementations.
• Coordinate WAF testing, tuning, and production changes to ensure optimal performance.
• Track actions, dependencies, blockers, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate Change Requests (CRs) and implementation schedules.
• Manage multiple smaller technical initiatives/workstreams simultaneously.
• Maintain Jira boards, tickets, and delivery backlogs.
• Coordinate infrastructure-related activities such as servers, load balancers, firewall rules, and certificates.
• Support improvements and automation of existing WAF processes.
• Coordinate operational activities including patching, compliance requirements, and Disaster Recovery testing.
• Support urgent security changes, coordinating zero-day WAF policy updates.
• Help improve and document ongoing BAU / operational processes for the service.
