• 3+ years of commercial experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Strong knowledge of relational database design (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Ability to implement various communication methods with clients (e.g., REST API, WebSockets)
• Ability to implement various authentication methods (e.g., JWT, cookie-based auth, OAuth)
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment tools, Docker, and Git
• Practical knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
• Experience in writing and maintaining automated tests using RSpec or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of non-relational databases, caching, and message brokers
• Experience diagnosing and solving performance and optimization problems
• Ability to contribute to project architecture with understanding of scalability
• Passion for code review and knowledge sharing
• Using AI tools critically for code review
• Fluent written and spoken English (C1) and Polish (C2)
• Interest in HealthTech and readiness to work on quality, security, and compliance crucial projects

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React
• Experience with AWS or similar platforms
• Experience with Web Server (e.g., Nginx)
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• HealthTech or pharmacy experience: HIPAA, e-prescribing, insurance, FHIR
• Experience in consulting, embedded client work, or startup environments where multiple roles were worn

• Designing and building web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Designing and implementing relational databases
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Writing automated tests for code including edge cases, usability, and reliability
• Fixing bugs and improving performance
• Reviewing code, including AI-generated code, to maintain standards
• Helping define and improve internal standards for maintainability and style
• Using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to speed up development work
• Communicating directly with clients for requirements clarification, technical discussions, and presentations
• Continuously discovering, testing, and implementing new technologies and workflows, and sharing knowledge with the team
