Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability

Asana is rapidly growing and investing in reliability by building a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team in Warsaw. This new team works closely with infrastructure engineers in multiple global locations, including San Francisco and Reykjavik, focusing on scalable and reliable distributed systems. Warsaw will serve as a significant hub for future infrastructure engineering and operations for Asana.

• Strong and experienced software engineering skills, comfortable with writing and reading code.
• Passion for reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of systems.
• Experience as an SRE or product engineer involved in infrastructure.
• Exposure or interest in systems at scale and infrastructure problem solving.
• Curiosity, initiative, and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
• Strong collaboration skills across teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve systems.
• Interest and curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity.

• Influence the future of Asana’s SRE practice, especially as the Warsaw team grows.
• Lead reliability-focused projects across the stack, including infrastructure, tooling, and incident response.
• Define and implement Asana’s incident management process.
• Build internal platforms and frameworks to improve service reliability.
• Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation shared globally.
• Collaborate with teams in San Francisco, Reykjavik, and Warsaw to build reliable systems.

This role is based in Asana's Warsaw office with a hybrid work schedule requiring office presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Work from home is usually allowed on Wednesdays, and on Fridays depending on the type of work and recruiter discretion.
