Senior API Platform Engineer

• Practical experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with API Gateways, API Management, ingress controllers or service meshes.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker and public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Practical experience creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Java, Kotlin or another modern backend language with willingness to work in a Java/Kotlin ecosystem.
• Ability to work independently, handle ambiguous technical requirements, and deliver solutions end-to-end.
• Excellent English skills (minimum B2+) for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Kong or Apache APISIX.
• Previous experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) or Developer Portal.

• Design, deploy and maintain API Gateway solutions for traffic management, routing, rate limiting and security.
• Build and optimize modern CI/CD pipelines for application development teams.
• Deliver self-service tools and capabilities for the Internal Developer Platform.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, build PoCs, document ADRs and execute end-to-end implementations.
• Collaborate with Java/Kotlin backend engineering teams to integrate platform solutions and establish shared technical standards.
