Solution Architect – AI-supported Legacy Migration

Their main competencies include Product & Application Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Security & Managed Services, and AI & Data Enablement.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in an architect role
• Proven experience in legacy system migration or modernization projects
• Solid understanding of PHP/Laravel and strong knowledge of Node.js and React
• Experience designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore)
• Experience with architecture for mobile applications and high-traffic systems
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data migration; experience with high-performance databases
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development and refactoring tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
• Consultant mindset with ability to build trust with clients and present architecture recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Background in EdTech or e-learning platforms
• Experience with React Native
• Pre-sales or technical consulting experience

• Assess the existing PHP/Laravel application, data model and SQL business logic
• Design the target headless architecture (React + Node.js) and select the appropriate database solution for performance and scale
• Define the migration strategy (e.g. phased/strangler pattern) to keep the app running for live users
• Design an automated, AI-assisted approach to migrating learning content and data
• Define how AI refactoring tools are used in the delivery process, including quality and validation checks
• Lead workshops and technical discussions with the client, translating business needs into architecture decisions
• Support pre-sales activities including estimates, roadmaps, risk assessment and technical proposals
• Guide and review the work of the development team
