Senior Automation QA

Link Group is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to work on a data-centric project that validates laboratory instrument data converted into the Allotrope Simple Model (ASM) format.

• Minimum 5 years in software quality engineering or test automation, with at least 2 years in data-centric validation.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with Robot Framework, including reusable resources and custom Python keyword libraries.
• Strong Python development skills focused on parsing, data transformation, JSON traversal, numerical comparison, and automated validation.
• Experience writing SQL for data reconciliation, regression trending, and defect investigation.
• Hands-on validation experience with JSON, CSV, XML, XLS/XLSX, and structured or semi-structured text formats.
• Knowledge of JSON Schema, semantic data models, controlled vocabularies, and schema-driven validation.
• Experience with Allotrope Simple Model (ASM) is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of smoke, functional, regression, and UAT testing and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tools, containerized execution, dependency management, and automated reporting.
• Experience with Jira and Xray, preferably in Agile environments.
• Strong test evidence management experience and familiarity with regulated or GxP laboratory environments is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical validation findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Design, build, maintain, and execute Robot Framework validation suites for ASM JSON laboratory instrument data.
• Translate business requirements, field mappings, SOPs, and validation standards into automated schema, mapping, semantic, and formatting checks.
• Develop Python readers, custom Robot Framework keywords, and reusable validation libraries for CSV, XML, XLS/XLSX, JSON, and instrument-specific formats.
• Perform smoke, functional, regression, UAT, and cross-version testing across converter releases and instrument datasets.
• Conduct root cause analysis for converter defects, source-data issues, schema changes, and test automation defects.
• Maintain test traceability with mapping identifiers, stable keys, execution provenance, and auditable evidence.
• Analyze validation results using SQL, DuckDB, and Parquet to track findings.
• Prepare and publish Test Summary, Defect Summary, HTML/JSON, and trend reports.
• Maintain CI/CD execution and reporting via GitHub Actions, containerized environments, Artifactory, Jira, and Xray.
• Support distributed project teams with test reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, defect triage, and technical meetings.
