Senior Software Engineer (Java, with German)

• Technical degree and solid foundations in software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Java/JVM-based technologies.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Git, Kubernetes, and Angular or React.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience working with microservice-oriented architectures.
• Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) or non-relational databases (Redis, MongoDB).
• Practical experience with CI/CD and version control systems.
• Communicative English and German (minimum B1 level).
• Hands-on experience in AI / GenAI, including practical use of LLMs, RAG patterns, and agentic workflows.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a tech lead role.

• Designing, developing, and implementing backend applications using Java and modern JVM technologies.
• Creating solutions based on engineering best practices such as Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, DDD.
• Integrating applications with components deployed in Kubernetes environments.
• Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Enabling AI-assisted engineering (e.g., GitHub Copilot); conducting code reviews for quality, security, and prompt patterns.
• Working in agile, international teams and contributing to shared best practices.
• Participating in architecture design and code reviews.
• Supporting less-experienced engineers and sharing knowledge within the team.
