Head of Engineering, Sales Management Tools

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform serving 20 million businesses and individuals with payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools. The company is expanding its engineering presence in Poland as a long-term strategic location.

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Java, including writing and shipping production-level code.
• Minimum 5 years managing engineering managers.
• Proven platform engineering experience building and running complex distributed systems.
• Experience with legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale.
• Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems.
• Experience managing engineering teams of 20 or more members.
• Advantageous: experience with financial correctness systems such as commissions, wallets, payouts.
• Preferred background in fintech or payments.
• Nice to have: experience with customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze.

• Lead engineering organisation of the Sales Management Tools domain covering MonieCRM and related platforms.
• Modernise legacy systems and re-architect for improved reliability and performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely calculation and payment of commissions and earnings at scale.
• Manage and scale a high-performing engineering team with managers and senior engineers.
• Oversee platform engineering and infrastructure for systems serving over 20 million users.
