Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

• 3+ years of commercial experience administering multi-cluster Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
• 3+ years of commercial experience managing AWS cloud services including ALB, VPC, EFS, EBS, EC2, S3, IAM, and EKS control plane.
• Proven design and operational expertise with multi-cluster Kubernetes architectures, including federation and cross-cluster networking.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Terragrunt for large-scale infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD workflows and GitOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking such as CNI plugins and Envoy/Ingress controllers.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security: RBAC, network policies, secrets management (Vault/AWS Secrets Manager), and pod security standards.
• Experience ensuring production-grade infrastructure security, scalability, and high availability.
• Expertise in cluster lifecycle management including upgrades, node group management, capacity planning, and autoscaling (Cluster Autoscaler, Karpenter).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of observability tools including New Relic, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices such as Spot instances and Reserved/Savings Plans.
• Programming skills in Go or Python for automation and Kubernetes extensions.
• Experience with AI agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex) for DevOps/SRE automation.
• Experience with container security scanning tools such as Trivy and Falco.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Own and evolve the multi-cluster EKS infrastructure including operations, upgrades, node group strategies, and capacity planning.
• Maintain and improve Terraform and Terragrunt codebase for infrastructure automation.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes internals, tune performance, and harden security including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives to identify waste and improve cloud spend efficiency.
• Partner with development teams to enhance deployment pipelines, platform tooling, and overall developer experience.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and approaches to solve operational problems.
• Contribute to observability efforts ensuring system monitoring and alerting before user impact.
