CodiLime is a software and network engineering service partner working with global networking hardware providers, software providers, and telecoms. The company specializes in proofs-of-concept, product development, and production environment services, serving clients worldwide including the US, Japan, Israel, and Europe. The team is composed of systems developers, network engineers, and test automation specialists focusing on SONiC platform releases across various hardware and ASIC architectures.

• Proven experience shipping and hardening production-grade SONiC platforms on physical switch hardware.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with SWSS, syncd, Redis state databases, and SAI.
• Strong skills in C, C++, and Python programming within Linux environments, including multi-threading, IPC, socket programming, and system calls.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking standards including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, VLAN, QoS, RoCEv2, PFC, and ECN.
• Experience with Linux networking internals, kernel drivers, sysfs, dmesg, gdb, perf, tcpdump, and systemd.
• Hands-on experience with Python testing frameworks including PTF and pytest.
• Familiarity with the sonic-mgmt repository and test suite implementation.
• Proficiency with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Practical experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Good command of English (minimum B2) for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Golang software development.
• Knowledge of hardware acceleration, including DPDK, eBPF, SmartNIC/DPU offloading.
• Familiarity with proprietary silicon SDKs (e.g., Broadcom SDK/SAI, NVIDIA Spectrum SDK, Intel Barefoot SDE).
• Experience with commercial network OS like Cisco IOS-XE/XR, JunOS, Arista EOS.
• Experience integrating GenAI or LLM-assisted workflows.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

Core SONiC platform engineering:

• Lead end-to-end qualification, bring-up, and shipping of robust SONiC releases on physical switch hardware.
• Design, extend, and debug core SONiC subsystems including SWSS, syncd, Redis databases, and Linux system services.
• Isolate complex bugs across NOS application software, SAI wrapper logic, and vendor silicon SDKs.
• Debug transaction processing and notification mechanisms between APPL_DB, ASIC_DB, and syncd to prevent state desynchronization.
• Architect automated regression workflows using pytest, PTF, sonic-mgmt, and Ansible integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform root-cause analysis using packet captures, kernel debug tools (gdb, perf, BPF), debugging logs, telemetry, and traffic generators (TRex, PTF, Keysight).
• Leverage AI-assisted log analysis and LLM coding assistants to accelerate defect isolation and automation.
• Conduct code reviews in C/C++, Python, and Go, mentor team members, and maintain code quality.

Team leadership and collaboration:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering platform stability and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with client architects and silicon vendor engineering groups.
• Follow Agile engineering methodologies with ownership of software architecture and code quality.
