Magento Tech Lead / Architect

• Experience leading software development teams or serving as a Tech Lead/Architect
• Practical experience designing and implementing complex e-commerce solutions based on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce including applications, integrations, and data architecture
• Documented experience in high-traffic e-commerce projects or complex integration architectures
• Technical communication and client interaction experience: discussing requirements, presenting recommendations, and explaining architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with Magento 2 and PHP 8, including deep knowledge of Magento 2 architecture elements like dependency injection, plugins, observers, service contracts, EAV, indexers, cron, and message queues
• Over 4 years working with MySQL and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, including schema design, query optimization, index management, and performance diagnosis
• Extensive experience integrating external systems (ERP, PIM such as Ergonode, WMS, OMS, payments) using REST API and GraphQL
• Familiarity with Headless architecture and working knowledge of Hyvä, especially modifying checkout and cart components
• Practical knowledge of asynchronous communication and queues (RabbitMQ)
• Skills in application performance diagnostics, use of profilers, monitoring tools, log analysis, caching mechanisms including Varnish, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, MySQL query optimization, and APM tools
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, experience with PHPUnit unit and integration tests, and conducting detailed code reviews
• Knowledge of web application security standards (OWASP Top 10) and compliance requirements (RODO, PCI DSS)
• Proven proficiency with Git (rebase, conflict resolution), Docker containerization (DDEV, Warden), and basic Linux administration
• English language skills sufficient for reading documentation and technical communication

• Leading the backend team: mentoring, code review, fostering developer autonomy, and providing constructive feedback
• Responsibility for technical architecture: designing applications, integrations, and data flows with focus on performance, scalability, security, and cost
• Translating business needs into technology: analyzing requirements, conducting technical workshops with clients, identifying risks and proposing alternatives
• Executing Magento 2 projects: estimating complex solutions, planning migrations and deployments, and managing delivery from analysis to production with quality, performance, and security accountability
• Developing key e-commerce logic: creating dedicated applications, microservices, and advanced modules (promotions, pricing engines, checkout, orders, catalog)
• Integrations and Headless architecture: designing efficient REST and GraphQL APIs and integrations with ERP, PIM, WMS, OMS, and payment systems including interface alignment with external vendors
• Code standards and quality: supervising best practices including SOLID, unit and integration testing, and security
• Technical decisions and documentation: comparing solution variants, justifying choices, creating architectural documents, and communicating clearly with technical teams and non-technical client stakeholders
• Supporting recruitment: technical evaluation of candidates and onboarding new developers
