PHP Developer (Regular/Senior)

IAI S.A. is part of IAI Group and operates IdoSell, a SaaS platform hosting over 8,000 online stores that processes over 68 million transactions and 22 billion PLN GMV annually. The Black Friday event serves as an annual production load test. The company has upgraded the platform with new foundations including CI/CD, automated tests, OpenAPI standard for API, and complete frontend-backend separation using React.

• Minimum 3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Good knowledge of PHP 8.2+ and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience with MySQL, skilled in writing queries without ORM support.
• Practical experience writing tests using PHPUnit.
• Ability to work with APIs (REST, OpenAPI) and use Git effectively.
• English proficiency sufficient for reading documentation.
• Analytical thinking and ability to gather requirements.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Szczecin office.

Nice to have:

• Experience with PhpStorm, Symfony, RabbitMQ.
• Experience working with large language models (LLM), specifically using Claude.ai.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.

• Implement well-specified projects in core IdoSell, mainly modules of the administrative panel used by merchants.
• Refactor legacy code along with unit and functional testing to reduce future maintenance costs.
• Leave code more modular after each change.
• Write backend code in vanilla PHP 8.2+ using parameterized queries for MySQL without an ORM or framework.
• Occasionally build simple screens with ready-to-use React components.
• Work with new OpenAPI standard API and collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Product Managers, and QA.
