• Strong logical and systems thinking to break down complex problems and trace dependencies

• Discover the real business need behind a client’s stated request, including problem, desired outcome, constraints, and business value
• Challenge proposed solutions constructively to propose better approaches
• Investigate the existing product's architecture, data model, business rules, algorithms, integrations, and technical constraints before proposing changes
• Design solutions that balance client needs, implementation effort, maintainability, and long-term product direction
• Make independent, well-reasoned decisions explaining trade-offs to clients and developers
• Identify when client-specific requests should become reusable product capabilities
• Work directly with developers and AI tools to explore solutions, validate assumptions, and refine designs
• Use SQL to investigate data, test hypotheses, troubleshoot, and support decisions
• Read and trace existing code to understand system behavior and root causes
• Analyze complex workflows and algorithms considering edge cases and dependencies
• Define clear acceptance criteria and create test plans verifying outcomes and system integrity
• Run demos and solution discussions with stakeholders converting feedback into decisions and next steps
• Keep documentation clear and focused on decisions, business rules, and system behavior
