Engineering Manager (with DevOps background)

At Patrianna, we build a high-performance B2B platform for the global iGaming industry, enabling partners to launch and scale digital gaming products across multiple international markets. Our platform serves as the foundation for multiple gaming brands, providing the core systems that power gameplay, integrations, and platform capabilities across different markets.

Leadership & Management Requirements:

• Proven experience leading infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams with technical leadership and people management.
• Ability to build realistic roadmaps, break down initiatives, establish commitments, identify risks, and deliver projects.
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey technical trade-offs and align priorities.

Technical Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on DevOps expertise with senior-level experience in production infrastructure.
• Deep production experience with Google Cloud Platform including GKE, Compute Engine, networking, IAM, DNS, and load balancing.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture, networking, ingress, storage, autoscaling, security, cluster lifecycle, and troubleshooting.
• Production experience with Terraform/Terragrunt, Helm, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD platforms using Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Background in operating high-availability production environments, on-call rotations, distributed system troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Observability knowledge including metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, SLOs, and monitoring with technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/ELK.
• Strong systems thinking to understand complex distributed systems and make architectural trade-offs.

Management & Delivery:

• Own the DevOps roadmap and delivery outcomes with clear roadmaps across SRE and Platform Engineering.
• Drive predictable execution by establishing planning practices, tracking progress, and managing dependencies.
• Lead SRE and Platform Engineering teams, balancing production needs with strategic infrastructure improvements.
• Manage and develop DevOps engineers including performance reviews, career development, hiring, and team structure.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and resolve systemic problems.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership by staying close to infrastructure and production systems.
• Drive platform reliability by improving availability, resilience, observability, incident response, and operational readiness.
• Strengthen incident management ensuring effective handling, root cause analysis, and elimination of recurring problems.
• Evolve the engineering platform focusing on Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability, scalability, security, and developer experience.
• Improve engineering effectiveness by identifying bottlenecks and driving automation and platform improvements.
• Drive infrastructure efficiency through continuous evaluation of architecture, resource utilization, and cloud costs.
