Senior UX Engineer - Engineering Platform

Relativity is a legal data intelligence company building AI-powered, cloud platforms that help users organize data and gain insights for legal work. Their product RelativityOne serves large law firms, corporations, and government agencies by managing legal data for litigation and investigations. The company focuses on cloud-native architecture and AI technologies for scalable solutions in legal tech.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years as Product Designer, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating solutions for complex UX challenges in large-scale products.
• Ability to convert user insights into interface design decisions.
• Familiarity with UX implementation challenges on desktop and web.
• Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and related design workflows.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing for complex B2B SaaS or cloud platforms with sophisticated workflows.
• Background in document, data, or content management systems.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product teams.
• Experience with AI-powered design tools such as prototyping accelerators or UX content generation.
• Understanding of AI’s impact on user trust, transparency, and workflow efficiency.

• Partner with Product and Engineering to define and drive the vision for a core area of the Relativity ecosystem, influencing workflows for many users.
• Apply Design Thinking to uncover user needs and support user-centered decisions.
• Lead iterative design explorations and balance design possibilities and constraints.
• Conduct user and stakeholder research to translate insights into design recommendations.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver specifications and validate solutions during Agile development.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Aero design system, including visualization patterns.
• Explore AI-assisted design tools like generative prototyping and automated accessibility checks.
• Design experiences that incorporate AI-powered insights, automation, and data transformation workflows.
