Mainframe Batch Specialist

Verita HR is an international recruitment company supporting the Fintech, Finance, and Banking markets in EMEA. This role is for a position at one of the world’s largest banks, focusing on batch operations in mainframe IBM z/OS environments.

• 3+ years of experience working with mainframe batch operations
• Solid knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS mainframe environments
• Good knowledge of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
• Basic knowledge of Horizon IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD, and XINFO
• Understanding of incident and change management processes
• Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Good written and spoken English
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Ensure stability, integrity, and availability of the team’s products and services
• Work according to Service Management Standards, maintaining accurate data in Service Management systems
• Identify and resolve IT service incidents, collaborating with DevOps leadership
• Deliver infrastructure changes with focus on customer and user experience
• Design and deploy infrastructure meeting performance, availability, security, and resilience requirements
• Automate build, testing, and deployment processes across environments
• Improve automation, continuous integration, system monitoring, and maintenance processes

Work mode is hybrid with 6 days per month in office located in Kraków, Poland.
