• 6–10 years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration (RHEL preferred), including volume management, multipathing, and kernel parameter tuning.
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl) and hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Solid background with enterprise hardware (IBM, HP x86), virtualization (VMware), NAS/SAN storage configuration, and core networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VIPs).
• Proven track record in large-scale, highly regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services) operating under strict ITIL/compliance frameworks.

Nice to have:

• Experience with SLES, Solaris, Veritas Volume Manager, or Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).
• Familiarity with WebSphere, Apache/Tomcat, MQ, Oracle RAC, MS SQL, or DB2.
• Industry-standard Unix/Linux or Agile certifications.

• Configure, deploy, and manage Linux server environments across live and non-live environments, collaborating closely with DevOps pods.
• Build automation capabilities and write scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible) to streamline BAU operational tasks and reduce manual tasks.
• Perform proactive root cause analysis, incident troubleshooting, and capacity management to prevent downtime.
• Advise on Unix/Linux design best practices, supporting storage (NAS/SAN), networking, hardware (IBM, HP), and virtualization platforms.
• Ensure all deployments conform to strict enterprise security standards, risk policies, and change control procedures.
