Legal Specialist - AI & Data Governance

• Minimum 5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or AI & Data Governance within consulting, legal firms, or internal organizational structures.
• Advanced practical knowledge of GDPR including DPIA, legal bases, and RoPA, along with solid understanding of EU AI Act implementation timelines and obligations.
• Analytical skills to interpret complex legal and contractual documents and communicate findings clearly to executives.
• Possession of AIGP or CIPP/E certification, or equivalent proven experience.
• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001 guidelines and standards.
• Legal education background.
• Project experience in financial or public sectors.
• Knowledge of French or German languages.

• Lead legal and regulatory aspects of Data Governance implementations including DPIA, RoPA oversight, legal basis mapping, data retention policies, and data-sharing agreements.
• Conduct readiness assessments for EU AI Act compliance including risk classification and role definition.
• Prepare and verify Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments (FRIA) integrated with DPIA processes.
• Review AI governance structures for compliance with ISO/IEC 42001 including policies and applicability statements.
• Translate regulatory requirements into governance controls in cooperation with Data Owners/Stewards and AI system owners.
• Support client interactions with regulators and auditors by preparing evidence packages and legal-technical documentation.
• Develop reusable materials such as DPIA and FRIA templates, AI Act duty checklists, and policy libraries.
