DevOps Engineer

At Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, strategic applications support global financing activities. The Financing Services Interfaces (FSI) team operates internationally with engineers in Warsaw, Paris, and Bangalore to deliver innovative, high-performance solutions.

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in <b>Java</b> (17+).
• Experience with <b>Python</b> and automation scripting.
• Hands-on experience with <b>GitHub</b>, <b>Jenkins</b>, and <b>CI/CD</b> tooling.
• Good knowledge of <b>Oracle</b> and/or <b>PostgreSQL</b> databases.
• Experience with <b>Microsoft Azure Cloud</b> is a plus.
• Experience in monitoring, alerting, and production support activities.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proactive approach to improving existing solutions and challenging legacy processes.
• Strong communication skills in English.

• Championing DevOps culture and best practices across the team.
• Building, improving, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Increasing team autonomy through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Managing and enhancing production and non-production environments.
• Automating operational and deployment processes using <b>Python</b> and scripting technologies.
• Ensuring system reliability through monitoring, alerting, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Supporting business-critical applications following the "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
• Investigating incidents, troubleshooting production issues, and driving root cause analysis.
• Collaborating with international teams across France, India, and Poland.
• Continuously improving documentation, processes, and operational standards.
