Podsumowanie oferty

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead Cloud Engineering within Remitly’s Builder Platform organization, which provides infrastructure for its global remittance business. You will guide the team’s cloud infrastructure strategy and delivery, including AWS, IaC, networking, and self-service infrastructure, while remaining hands-on with technical work.

Wymagania

Experience leading a multi-team engineering organization distributed across countries and time zones, including hiring senior engineers and developing managers.
A record of setting multi-year technical strategy for cloud infrastructure and translating it into roadmaps, OKRs, and headcount plans.
Sound judgment on long-horizon architecture decisions, including account structure, multi-region, and multi-cloud, at a scale of thousands of accounts.
Experience building self-service platforms that scale infrastructure without linear headcount growth, measured by adoption across product teams.
Ownership of cloud spend as a business outcome, making cost, performance, and reliability tradeoffs with finance and engineering leadership.
Ability to write code, review architecture, and engage deeply with technical problems while working as a manager.
Clear written communication to align senior stakeholders across geographies and functions.
Software engineering experience in Go or Python for internal services and APIs.
Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, managed through IaC such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation, and API-driven control planes.
Experience with multi-account governance, including account vending, organization policies, IAM, and policy as code such as OPA or Sentinel.
Knowledge of networking across multi-region, hybrid, and edge architectures, including VPC, transit design, IPAM, BGP, private connectivity, VPN, DNS, CDN, and WAF.
Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, and observability, including SLO definition and multi-region failover testing.
Knowledge of FinOps practices, including cost allocation and tagging, unit economics, and commitment management.
Experience with security and compliance for regulated financial services, including PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Obowiązki

Champion an AI-first engineering culture by integrating AI agents, MCP tooling, and automated agentic systems into infrastructure management.
Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization, partnering with finance and engineering stakeholders to balance cost, performance, and reliability.
Own the IaC strategy for cloud primitives and build reusable system patterns for other teams.
Architect for global presence and high resiliency using edge computing and multi-region, multi-cloud, and hybrid strategies.
Lead and grow an engineering team, setting technical direction focused on the self-service builder experience and infrastructure-as-code, automation, and operational excellence.
Stay hands-on by reviewing designs and code, joining incidents when needed, and making architecture and tradeoff decisions.
Partner with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience on shared infrastructure solutions and the self-service builder experience.
Partner with cross-functional teams and external partners on network expansion, VPN setup, and network integration.
Own the network strategy for edge computing and multi-account and multi-region architectures.
