Podsumowanie oferty

Lead the Cloud Engineering team building the cloud primitives, networking, and automation behind a global remittance business. Set technical direction and develop the engineering organization while staying hands-on with infrastructure and architecture. The work includes AWS, Go or Python, and infrastructure managed through IaC.

Wymagania

You Have:

Experience leading a multi-team engineering organization distributed across countries and time zones, including hiring senior engineers and developing managers.
A record of setting multi-year technical strategy for cloud infrastructure and turning it into roadmaps, OKRs, and headcount plans that stay ahead of product demand.
Sound judgment on long-horizon architecture decisions, including account structure, multi-region, and multi-cloud, at a scale of thousands of accounts.
A history of building self-service platforms that scale infrastructure without linear headcount growth, measured by adoption across product teams.
Ownership of cloud spend as a business outcome, making cost, performance, and reliability tradeoffs with finance and engineering leadership.
Comfort operating as a working manager, including writing code, reviewing architecture, and going deep on technical problems.
Clear written communication that aligns senior stakeholders across geographies and functions.

Skills and Technologies:

Software engineering in Go or Python for internal services and APIs.
Cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure, managed through IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation) and API-driven control planes.
Multi-account governance, including account vending, organization policies, IAM, and policy as code (OPA, Sentinel, or similar).
Networking across multi-region, hybrid, and edge architectures, including VPC, transit design, IPAM, BGP, private connectivity and VPN, DNS, CDN, and WAF.
Kubernetes, GitOps, and observability, including SLO definition and multi-region failover testing.
FinOps practices: cost allocation and tagging, unit economics, and commitment management.
Security and compliance for regulated financial services (PCI DSS, SOC 2).

Obowiązki

Champion an AI-first engineering culture by integrating AI agents, MCP tooling, and agentic systems into infrastructure management.
Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization, partnering with finance and engineering stakeholders on cost, performance, and reliability tradeoffs.
Own the IaC strategy for cloud primitives and build reusable system patterns for other teams.
Architect for global presence and resilience using edge computing and multi-region, multi-cloud, and hybrid strategies.
Lead and grow an engineering team across Krakow and the US, setting technical vision and direction for the self-service builder experience.
Review designs and code, get involved in incidents when needed, and make architecture and tradeoff decisions.
Partner with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience on shared infrastructure solutions and the self-service builder experience.
Partner with cross-functional teams and external partners on network expansion, VPN setup, and network integration.
Own the network strategy for edge computing and multi-account and multi-region architectures.
