As Functional Portfolio Head, you will lead the RDT functional portfolio, aligning business priorities with technology investments and overseeing governance and delivery of strategic initiatives. The role focuses on portfolio value, investment allocation, and risk management across global functions.

Wymagania

Strategic & Analytical Acumen:

Strong analytical skills focused on outcome-driven, sustainable solutions.
Proven experience as a digital product owner or “digital translator” who has delivered digital use cases including advanced analytics and AI technologies.

Relationship Management & Influence:

Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with business and technology leaders and develop strategy in a consultative manner.
Experience managing cross-functional partner relationships in a complex organization and influencing senior leadership.

Communication & Execution:

Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex investment data to the Corporate Executive Committee.
Commitment to the “One Roche” philosophy and prioritizing the success of the entire organization over individual functional silos.

Other Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years of leadership experience in global technology and/or consulting organizations, including at least 5+ years in leadership roles encompassing Portfolio Management.
Up-to-date knowledge of digital technology trends including AI, Data, and Cloud, and a passion for translating them into new ways of working.
Strong understanding of IT governance, finance, and cost management.
Degree in IT or a related knowledge area.

Nice to have:

Experience within the Pharmaceutical or BioTech industry is highly preferred.

Obowiązki

Strategic Alignment & Enterprise Thinking:

Connect Business and RDT strategic objectives across Business and Enterprise investments.
Work with function leaders to translate business priorities into function or enterprise initiatives based on established guardrails.
Help teams focus on business value while aligning with strategic initiatives from business and RDT leadership.
Partner with RDT functions and business stakeholders to define strategic priorities and ensure consistent use of the Value Framework.

Governance & Investment Management:

Lead the governance body for the function and align senior business and RDT leaders on allocation of the functional budget across business or enterprise portfolios.
Oversee sub-function governance, ensuring critical business cases are realized and intended benefits are tracked.
Balance investments across products and services within the function to keep the portfolio resilient and focused on outcomes.

Portfolio Execution and Transparency:

Identify and highlight portfolio risks and enable risk management to minimize project failures related to delays or budget overruns.
Track value delivery from strategic projects with the Office of the CDTO and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Oversee effective deployment and tracking of resources to optimize value-driven investments.
Collaborate with Business Operations Leads on data integrity for initiatives, financial forecasting, and resource management.
