As a Backend Automation QA Engineer, you will build and maintain automated tests for backend services at Viber, a communication app used by millions worldwide. You will strengthen regression prevention and integrate test suites into delivery using Java and CI/CD pipelines.

Wymagania

3–5 years in test automation, with strong hands-on Java experience.
Experience with Java, Selenide/Selenium, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured (API), and Allure.
Experience building and maintaining frameworks and infrastructure, including the Page Object Model, Docker/Selenoid, GitLab CI, and Git.
Solid experience automating backend/API testing (REST, microservices), including request/response validation and functional flows.
A quality-first, automation-first mindset and the drive to reduce manual QA to zero.
Experience using AI tools for development and QA.

Nice to have:

Experience with mobile automation (Appium) and device clouds such as BrowserStack.
SQL/database validation (MySQL via JDBI, Aerospike).
AWS/GCP and Kubernetes.
Data-pipeline and feature-flag validation.
Multi-environment test configuration and parallel suite execution in CI.
AdTech experience.

Obowiązki

Design, build, and maintain test automation for backend services in Java, from smoke suites through full regression.
Grow automated smoke tests into a trusted staging gate that blocks regressions before they reach production.
Partner with backend developers on end-to-end system verification beyond smoke testing.
Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast, stable, and meaningful.
Help define quality gates and progression suites so every feature is verified by automation as part of the standard delivery process.
