As a Client Automation QA Engineer, you will build and maintain mobile test automation for iOS and Android using Appium and Java. The work supports the Viber app and includes integrating test suites into GitLab CI.
3–5 years in test automation, with hands-on Appium (Selenide-Appium) for mobile.
Java 21/17, JUnit 5, Maven, and Allure.
REST API testing for request/response validation using Retrofit2/OkHttp or RestAssured.
Framework and infrastructure building and maintenance using the Page Object Model, GitLab CI, and Git.
Understanding of mobile app testing challenges, including flakiness, device fragmentation, and network conditions.
A quality-first, automation-first mindset aimed at reducing manual QA to zero.
Experience using AI tools for development and QA.
Nice to have:
Backend test automation background with Selenide/Selenium and RestAssured for API testing.
SQL/DB validation (MySQL via JDBI, Aerospike).
AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
Data-pipeline and feature-flag validation.
AdTech experience.
Design, build, and maintain mobile test automation on iOS and Android using Appium (Java).
Build and maintain the framework using the Page Object Model and keep suites stable.
Turn mobile smoke suites into a release-blocking gate across both platforms.
Expand from smoke into regression and feature-progression suites.
Integrate suites into GitLab CI and run tests across devices using device-cloud platforms.
Collaborate with mobile developers and QA to build quality in from the start.
Onboard and train QA engineers towards automation first as a process.
