Podsumowanie oferty

Own the reliability, scalability and cost of production infrastructure for a real-time behavioral data platform. Design and deliver infrastructure changes across Azure, GCP and Kubernetes, from initial design through production.

Wymagania

In-depth Linux administration, including systemd and services, processes and resource limits, storage and filesystems, kernel tuning, and troubleshooting CPU, memory, disk and network performance.
Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, TLS and L4/L7 load balancing.
Solid database fundamentals, including SQL and knowledge of WAL, replication, consistency, backup and recovery.
Comfortable using Bash and Python for everyday scripting and operations.
Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly, building on solid fundamentals.
Comfortable working in written and spoken English.

Hands-on experience with most of the following:

Owning production systems on a public cloud (Azure and/or GCP) and leading incidents through to resolution.
Production Kubernetes, including networking, resources and scheduling, upgrades and troubleshooting.
Responsibility for stateful production systems, such as databases or message brokers.
Designing IaC and CI/CD/GitOps tooling used by other teams, such as Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD or GitLab CI.
Observability using metrics, logs and actionable alerts, such as Prometheus, Grafana and Loki.

Nice to have:

Experience with high-traffic, real-time systems where latency and throughput inform decisions.
Performance tuning across the OS, network, databases and application runtimes, from profiling to measurable improvement.
Deep expertise in Kafka or a specific database engine, such as PostgreSQL or ClickHouse.
Experience with Istio or Kong for service mesh or API gateway.
FinOps experience, including cost visibility and allocation, and capacity and commitment planning.
Experience with enterprise security and compliance requirements.

Obowiązki

Production infrastructure:

Own the reliability, scalability and cost of production infrastructure on Azure and GCP, including Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, networking, and CI/CD and GitOps tooling.
Design and deliver infrastructure changes end-to-end, from the first idea to production.

Data systems and capacity:

Run and evolve multi-terabyte databases and data-streaming systems, covering capacity, replication, upgrades and recovery.
Plan capacity ahead of growth and seasonal retail peaks.

Traffic and connectivity:

Shape how traffic reaches and moves through the platform, including the API gateway, service mesh, edge (CDN, WAF) and secure connectivity for internal services and customers.

Incidents, security and reliability:

Respond to production incidents across the network, OS, databases and applications, and turn lessons into lasting platform improvements.
Work with backend and security engineers on architecture and security, including access control, hardening, vulnerability remediation and SOC 2 / ISO 27001 requirements.
Engineer the platform to withstand loss of a node, zone or dependency without affecting customers, and recover automatically.
Improve observability and incident response for a self-hosted stack using Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo and Grafana.

Benefity

Real influence on technical decisions beyond your own team.
Ownership of whole areas of the platform, not just tickets.
Work on a large-scale, real-time production platform used by global brands.
