Podsumowanie oferty

You will develop approaches for grid operation and deliver robust software modules for power-grid applications in an interdisciplinary team. The role includes translating real power-system problems into models and solutions, using programming languages such as C#, C++, and Rust.

Wymagania

Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience with a Master’s degree.
Proven expertise in modelling and steady-state analyses of power grids, demonstrated through hands-on application of these methods in software development.
Proficiency in C#, C++, Rust, or a similar high-level programming language.
Experience with industrial protocols and standards, including IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, OPC UA, and IEEE C37.118.
Practical experience developing systems for power-grid management and monitoring, with familiarity with WAMS/WAMPAC, PMU data, and protection and control applications.
Solid understanding of numerical methods, signal processing, and control fundamentals, and ability to work with high-frequency, time-aligned time-series data.
Good understanding of power-system dynamics and stability challenges introduced by high penetration of renewables.
Excellent communication skills in English, a team-player attitude, initiative, and creativity.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of mathematical optimization applied to power systems and modern numerical solvers is strongly desired, e.g. MIP/NLP, stochastic methods, and tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, and Ipopt.
Experience with machine learning and/or artificial intelligence technologies.
Python and/or MATLAB for analytics and fast prototyping.
Experience with software engineering techniques such as version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD, and integrating solution algorithms into performance-critical system applications; Docker and Kubernetes are examples.
High-performance computing skills such as parallel/distributed computing, GPU, OpenMP, or MPI.
