Wymagania

4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator managing enterprise-scale production environments.
In-depth practical knowledge of PostgreSQL, including master-replica architectures, failover mechanisms (e.g., Patroni), logical and physical replication, and performance diagnostics such as EXPLAIN plans and pg_stat_statements.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB in distributed environments, including sharding architecture, shard balancing, replica set election mechanics, aggregation pipeline tuning, and WiredTiger engine optimizations.
Proven expertise in enterprise backup and recovery architectures.
Strong Linux systems administration background, including performance troubleshooting, storage/IOPS analysis, memory management, and networking.
Experience with database observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
Practical experience with DR and BCP frameworks, including automated failovers and real-world recovery exercises.
Scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, Ansible, and Git.
Polish proficiency sufficient for fluent communication.
Technical English proficiency enabling fluent cross-team communication (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

Previous MS SQL and MySQL experience.
Familiarity with Kubernetes database operators.
Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code workflows for database provisioning.
Knowledge of database security, compliance, and auditing standards, including encryption at rest and in transit, TLS, NIS2, and GDPR.
Relevant certifications, such as PostgreSQL Certified Professional or MongoDB Certified DBA.

Obowiązki

Administer, configure, and maintain production PostgreSQL clusters, including streaming replication, connection pooling, and high-availability setups.
Manage distributed MongoDB environments: design and optimize sharded clusters, replica sets, and query routing with mongos.
Tune performance and plan capacity by identifying bottlenecks, optimizing slow queries and indexing strategies, configuring database engines, and tuning OS-level storage I/O parameters.
Design, maintain, and automate end-to-end backup and recovery strategies, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), for relational and document stores.
Plan and execute Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, failover tests, and data restoration drills.
Administer databases at the Linux level (Debian/Ubuntu), including kernel tuning, memory allocation, storage diagnostics, and system hardening.
Automate database maintenance, monitoring, deployments, and routine DBA tasks using Ansible, Python, and Bash.
Make occasional on-site visits to data centers in Poland and across Europe for infrastructure rollouts, recovery tests, or deep diagnostic operations.
Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams on data modeling, schema changes, and compliance.
