• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client handling, and technical writing skills

• Hands-on experience debugging issues in mobile, Java, databases, and Kafka; technical investigations on production/performance issues, R&D, and database scripting
• Ability to manage tight timelines across multiple projects
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, (Software) Engineering or related IT field; Master's or further certification advantageous
• Minimum 10 years experience, preferably 2 years in healthcare context focusing on custom mobile applications for Android/iOS with Microservices backend
• Deep understanding of mobile development frameworks and Android/iOS operating systems
• Hands-on experience and deep understanding of API and design-driven paradigms, debugging distributed systems, Microservices development with Spring Boot, API gateways, Kafka event systems, and distributed tracing using open telemetry
• Deep understanding of DevOps, containerization, and helm configuration
• Exposure to Azure Cloud, AKS, Postgres, and Kong API Gateway is a plus
• Exposure to software architectures across network, infrastructure, security, data persistence, Microservices, and mobile front end (iOS/Android)
• Proven experience in writing technical concepts, database design, and data modeling; experience with Postgres and Python is a plus

Nice to have:

• Experience designing architectures for healthcare system landscapes and ensuring interoperability with healthcare-specific data formats such as HL7/FHIR, OMOP, xDT, openEHR
• Good knowledge of the German healthcare system landscapes and reference architectures at hospitals, service providers, and/or health insurance companies (e.g., TI, HIS, LIMS)

• Oversee and guide the development team to ensure architectural vision adherence throughout project lifecycle
• Collaborate with nearshore and offshore technical teams, vendors, and external partners
• Assess, select, and recommend software development technologies, tools, and platforms
• Define software requirements and architectural plans for implementation
• Communicate requirements to project managers, scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, developers, and infrastructure or security architects
• Provide training
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and presentations
