Senior Business IT Consultant (Manufacturing, German)

Business & Technology Solutions (BTS) department is a team of business analysts, IT architects and project managers, who support clients in designing, planning, and conducting digital transformations in their business. They create a bridge between business objectives and IT solutions to achieve them. The team understands clients' business, challenges, and IT environment, then proposes, designs, plans, and helps implement new technological solutions or changes to improve or transform business processes. Requirements for new IT projects are often defined by BTS and implemented by other Capgemini units or external partners. Hiring locations include Wrocław, Poznań, and Gdańsk.

• At least 2 years of experience related to manufacturing, particularly in machinery, pharmacy, or automotive
• Experience with IT, understanding software development processes and basic IT architecture concepts, and participation in IT system rollouts
• Familiarity with market trends and concepts related to Digital Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0, Shop Floor Integration, Edge Computing, and ability to assess their impact on manufacturing business
• Experience with IT systems supporting production and/or logistics such as ERP, MES, SCADA
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases and SQL is an additional asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with satisfaction in helping business partners and gaining their attention for ideas and services
• Proficiency in German and English
• Strong analytical thinking skills to analyze processes, situations, and problems in a structured way and propose solutions focusing on business goals

• Conduct consulting and roll-out projects for clients from the manufacturing industry
• Organize and moderate meetings and workshops with clients' representatives to learn about their business, challenges, and needs, and collect and structure requirements
• Analyze, model, and identify improvements in business processes and IT systems to propose and design changes and optimizations
• Cooperate with customers, technology experts, and development teams to design new technology solutions or changes in existing IT systems
• Define requirements and create specifications for new IT systems or changes and transformations of existing IT environments
• Present and discuss solution ideas with diverse groups of stakeholders to gain acceptance and commitment
• Identify opportunities for business development and new projects, and contribute to new offers for clients
• Support and mentor less experienced consultants and lead consulting teams
