Node.js Engineer

Ring Publishing is a comprehensive technology platform supporting media companies in creating, managing, publishing, and monetizing digital products. The platform enables editorial automation, rapid solution development, experimentation, result analysis, and improved publishing process management. It is based on a modular architecture allowing teams to develop flexible and scalable products tailored for modern digital publishing. The team focuses on tools supporting management, processing, and publishing of audio and video materials, including upload, encoding, streaming, and integration of video/audio players and APIs used by editorial offices and digital services. They develop automation tools, search, notification handling, and integrations with other Ring Publishing platform components using innovative AI tools.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Very good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript; knowledge of Python is an additional advantage
• Experience in designing and building scalable backend applications based on Node.js
• Practical skills in building and deploying solutions using Large Language Models and Generative AI
• Good knowledge of the AWS ecosystem and experience designing cloud solutions
• Knowledge of Kubernetes in deployment, configuration, and application maintenance
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
• Very good communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge of audio/video streaming and media processing
• Experience with AWS services related to multimedia processing
• Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices

• Develop and maintain solutions and tools for users of the Ring Publishing platform in the audio and video domain
• Implement and maintain backend applications using Node.js
• Collaborate with team members in project planning, evaluation, managing technical debt, infrastructure costs on AWS, and AI tool usage
• Actively participate in creating and maintaining project documentation
• Monitor systems and optimize performance, security, and scalability
• Ensure quality and stability of solutions including writing and conducting tests
• Maintain system operations and handle incident response
