Senior Python Backend Developer – Generative AI Data Integration

The role is with a leading financial institution focused on delivering Generative AI experiences and expanding data integration capabilities to enhance decision-making and innovative solutions in global financial operations.

• At least 5 years of experience in Python backend development within complex data-driven environments.
• Strong expertise with FastAPI framework and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and GCP BigQuery.
• Knowledge of Vector stores, Hadoop, and Starburst (Data Virtualization).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Azure Cloud.
• Familiarity with Google ADK, Memory stores, RAGs, Context Engineering, and Evaluation systems.

Nice to have:

• Certifications or experience in AI/ML systems.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards pertinent to financial services.

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices leveraging Python and FastAPI to support Generative AI data workflows.
• Design and implement efficient data transfer pipelines sourcing data from various systems for AI models.
• Build agents interacting with diverse data sources, ensuring integration with Generative AI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data architecture and pipelines in cloud environments.
• Ensure robust data security, governance, and compliance in integrations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation of data solutions within the AI ecosystem.
• Maintain documentation and support hands-on testing and deployment.
