Senior Automation Test Engineer

Mindbox Sp. z o.o. is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role involves joining a global Identity and Access Management (IAM) transformation program at one of the world's largest financial institutions, delivering solutions in banking and security across Google Cloud Platform.

• Hands-on experience in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
• Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
• Experience testing REST API-driven services (e.g., Postman, Insomnia, Apidog).
• Experience validating event-driven systems such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, and queues.
• Awareness of identity protocols and formats: SCIM, LDAP, OIDC, REST API, CSV.
• Understanding of policy-based access models: RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, PBAC.
• Practical experience with JIRA and Zephyr for test management and defect lifecycle.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and shift-left testing mindset.
• Cloud testing experience, ideally on GCP; AWS and Azure are advantages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in consumer-driven contract testing.
• Testing policy-as-code using tools like OPA/Rego.
• Exposure to graph databases like Neo4j and graph-based relationship validation.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like n8n or GenAI tooling for quality engineering.
• Containerised test execution patterns.
• Performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad.
• Exposure to GitOps repositories and modern DevOps delivery patterns.
• Familiarity with Vault (HashiCorp), SPIFFE/SPIRE, session management, or governance/auditing controls testing.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned to technical requirements and functional/non-functional requirements.
• Build and maintain backend automation using Python and Pytest, focusing on API and integration testing.
• Validate event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, queues) including replay/reprocessing scenarios and data integrity across asynchronous flows.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration by running automated tests, generating reports, and notifying teams of results.
• Test and validate functions and decision logic defined as code, including policy-as-code.
• Report, track, and manage defects; attend triage meetings and verify fixes.
• Create and manage synthetic and anonymised test data sets to support repeatable automated testing.
• Collaborate in an Agile delivery model and contribute to continuous quality engineering improvement.
