At Activision, a leading worldwide developer, publisher, and distributor, known for franchises such as Call of Duty®, Crash Bandicoot™, Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™, and Guitar Hero™, you will develop visual effects for a new IP within the Art department. The role is based in the Warsaw, Poland office and focuses on creating innovative gameplay experiences with sophisticated technology.

Wymagania

Proven experience of 8+ years in realtime VFX.
Proficiency with game engine special effect systems like Unreal, Crytek, or Unity.
Deep knowledge of simulations such as destruction, fire, smoke, and fog using software like Houdini, Thinking Particles, or Fume Fx.
Excellent understanding of authoring VFX for physically based rendering and lighting.
Impressive portfolio showcasing realistic visual effects and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to in-house tools and evolving technology stacks.
Knowledge of scripting via code and/or node-based systems.
Experience with art software and 3D packages including Photoshop, Substance Designer, and Maya.

Nice to have:

Experience connecting VFX logic to code and/or visual scripting.
Understanding and experience with material authoring and special shaders.
Experience with procedural workflows and techniques.
Knowledge of graphics programming and shading code or graphs.

Obowiązki

Collaborate with Gameplay and Combat Design teams to propose VFX solutions enhancing player feedback and experience.
Author realistic and artistic benchmark visual effects following Art Direction.
Accentuate gameplay features such as weapon effects, hit reactions, and magic spells with precise timing.
Contribute to storytelling through VFX style and world building.
Collaborate with VFX and Tech Art teams to suggest technology improvements and workflow enhancements.
Create quick prototypes and placeholder effects as conversation starters.
Provide constructive feedback on VFX assets with internal teams and external partners.
Optimize visual effect assets within approved budgets, considering platform technical limitations.
Organize asset libraries and textures for reuse and performance improvement.
