Senior Frontend Engineer (Full-stack)

Soda is the data quality layer for companies such as Disney, Ralph Lauren, and Nubank, providing a data quality monitoring platform used by many Fortune 500 companies. Founded in 2019, Soda builds the first Data & AI performance monitoring platform spanning data collection to automated decision-making.

• At least 5 years building frontend for complex single-page applications with real users.
• Expert in TypeScript and deep experience with a modern framework, preferably Angular (React/Vue experience with willingness to work in Angular also accepted).
• Strong frontend skills including component architecture, state management, rendering performance, and responsive design.
• Habitual test writer, including e2e tests with Cypress or Playwright.
• Competent backend skills: able to read/modify a Java service, design APIs, and write SQL.
• Understanding of system impacts such as API shape on latency and data flow in UI.
• Experience shipping production code using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
• Independent in a distributed, asynchronous team across multiple countries.
• Fluent in English.

Good to Have:

• Experience with data-heavy or developer-tool products, including data visualization and monitoring.
• Design-system or component-library ownership.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS at scale or high-growth startups.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience building workflows with LLM-powered or AI-driven automation.
• Experience in data quality, data management, data observability, or ML monitoring industries.

• Own complex, data-dense UIs: dashboards, monitoring views, large tables, diffs and drill-downs that stay fast and legible.
• Drive component architecture, state management, and frontend performance.
• Build with a component library and Storybook; maintain design system coherence.
• Write tests at every layer and maintain Cypress end-to-end test suite.
• Build frontend interfaces for agentic features involving LLM-powered workflows.
• Improve agentic frontend development systems including conventions and test coverage.
• Shape APIs consumed and implement backend changes (Java) as needed.
• Mentor backend-focused engineers on frontend to support full-stack delivery.
• Collaborate directly with product, design, and customers to drive feature decisions.
