Golang Engineer – Senior

SOFTSWISS develops the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, a software platform for launching and managing online sports betting businesses. The Sportsbook team aims to create innovative software to simplify creating and operating bookmaker websites. The company is expanding its team and seeks experienced professionals who share their culture and values.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• At least 4 years of recent experience primarily programming in Go
• Hands-on experience with betting-related products
• Strong understanding of Go internals including data structures, multithreading, memory management, and garbage collection
• Experience with relational databases and ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Solid knowledge of Linux and understanding of containerization using Docker
• Ability to write testable code and corresponding unit tests
• Experience working with Kafka and Kubernetes
• English at intermediate level
• Russian at upper-intermediate level

Nice to have:

• Experience in finance or other fields requiring data integrity
• Understanding of distributed applications and microservice architecture
• Familiarity with backend design approaches such as DDD, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Clickhouse

• Collaborate within a team using the Scrum methodology and participate in planning workflow
• Engage in architectural, infrastructure, and other strategic decision-making processes
• Conduct code reviews for team members and document own code
